This unit is intended to introduce the students to the fundamentals of programming through the use of formal structured design methods. This unit aims to:

1. Give students an introductory concept of programming
2. Help students to develop a structured approach to program design
3. Help students lo apply program design techniques to real life situations

PC Maintenance and Troubleshooting (PMT for DIT(D) and DIT(E))

COURSE DESCRIPTION

It is essential that DIT graduates possess the PC Maintenance and Troubleshooting to perform well at tertiary education level as well as in professional IT environment. Students will acquire the knowledge and skills to identify and the use of appropriate hardware technology in term of maintaining, diagnostics and troubleshooting personal computer. 

AIMS

The unit aims to develop students, understanding of;
1. The installation and set up of a variety of components on a personal computer
2. Assembling and disassembling of a personal computer
3. Basic preventive maintenance on personal computer
4. Installing a variety of components on personal computer
5. Troubleshooting a personal computer
